Celtic Lakes Resort is delighted to announce the opening of our in July 2010.
Other developmets at Celtc Lakes saw the recent opening of our onsite tackle and bait store, selling a wide range of tackle and bait as well as hiring large landing nets and unhooking mats (which are now required on lake 6). Klinic Fish Care Kits (now required on Lakes 4, 5 & 6) can also now be purchased from the tackle shop.

2. Elysium will be closed to the public from 11th - 13th September for a private competition, as will lakes 5 and 4. Lakes 1, 2 and 3 will be open as normal to day ticket anglers during this period.

 Sky Sports will be televising the final of the Wales Carp Masters which was recently held at Celtic Lakes Resort from 29th to 31st August 2008.
The final will be screened at various times over the weekend of 20th - 21st October 2008 and will be shown on Sky Sports Xtra and Sky Sports 3 digital.

 The much anticipated final of the 2008 Wales Carp Masters took place at Celtic Lakes Resort over the weekend of 29th - 31st August. Twelve pairs of anglers qualified for the final from 6 heats which have taken place over the last 3 months. With the sunshine making a welcome, albeit brief appearance and the final being filmed, this was definitely a special weekend for UK and Welsh carp angling.

 Talk Sport will be featuring Celtc Lakes Resort on 28th June 2008 on its Fisherman's Blues radio show which is hosted by Keith Arthur.
The radio show starts at 06:00, with an interview with Celtic Lakes owner John Carney, scheduled to take place at 07:30.

Following the success of last years ground breaking event, we are delighted to announce the launch of the 2008 Wales Carp Masters.
The grand final is again being staged at the superb Celtic Lakes Resort and takes place between 29th – 31st August. There are 15 places available at each of 6 qualifying heats, all being staged at Celtic Lakes where last years qualifying produced some incredible winning weights, with the 40 hour Welsh carp match record broken twice, the second time with a hugely impressive 609lb.

- 18th macrh 2008
The final match of this years winter league was held at Celtic Lakes Resort in Lampeter. Sixteen anglers took part and today either Nick Williams or John Charlesworth would become winter league champion and the battle for third place resolved also. Nick who was trailing John by one point at the start of the match stormed into an early lead landing carp to 10lb in the first hour on lake 4, with junior Welsh Internation Ryan Hughes also catching well. Meanwhile on lake 5 (Churchill), which was favourite to produce the winners today things were not going well and the favoured pegs not producing many fish at all.

Today saw the long awaited first match at Celtic Lakes sponsored by Mark Henness of Fast Forward Distribution & Palletline. 16 anglers took part in a pairs and individual competition, with Kev Williams from North Wales setting the pace with 27 carp and some skimmer bream for a match winning 103lb 10oz and winning the pairs trophy single handed without his partner John Charlesworth bothering the scoreboard.

Mark Adams and Dean Amesbury from Tredegar have won the inaugural Wales Carp Masters at Celtic Lakes resort this weekend lifting the magnificent trophy and collecting the wallet busting £10,001 cash first prize The overall prize fund is the biggest in the UK amounting to £20,001.

 As scheduled, work has commenced in August on the first of the Five Star Luxury Lodges at Celtic Lakes Resort. Each lodge will have four bedrooms capable of sleeping up to 8 people, a lounge, dining room and study as well as a sauna, steam room and jacuzzi ... true holiday luxury !!

Thursday the 27th September 18.00 hrs onwards, you have to be at the pre match party.
The stage is set at Celtic Lakes on the eve of carp angling history being made in Wales. To celebrate the occasion there will be food, entertainment and a licensed bar.

The organisers of the Wales Carp Masters are expecting another bumper haul of fish at the next qualifier which is being held at Celtic Lakes Resort on 3-5 August 2007.
The winning pair at the last qualifier in June banked an astonishing 609lb 15oz of fish and in the process set a new Welsh 40 hour match fishing record. It remains to be seen whether these weights can be beaten but the fishery is on top form at present and another huge weight is expected. |
